Custom fields
Get to know the Property enquiry and Consent field groups, protect the fields the assistant fills in, and add your own fields.

The standard client record has basic fields such as name, phone and email. But an estate agency wants to know much more: buyer or seller, what's the budget, which area, how many bedrooms, when are they moving, which listing did they ask about? Custom Fields store this information in a tidy, filterable way. The AI voice assistant also writes what it learns on a call into these fields.
Field groups included with setup
Squaremeters setup includes two folders:
| Folder | Fields | Who fills them in? |
|---|---|---|
| Property enquiry | Enquiry type, Budget, Area, Bedrooms, Timing, Listing of interest | The assistant (during the call), the agent when needed |
| Consent | İYS consent, KVKK notice | The assistant and forms; required for outbound calls |
- Open Settings → Custom Fields.
- Use the selector at the top to choose which object the field belongs to: Contact (client) or Opportunity.
- For a new field, use Add Field at the top right. (Depending on the interface version it may read Create Field.)
How does the assistant fill in the fields?
When Ahmet Demir calls at 23:40 and says "a 3-bed in Moda, budget 15 million, within a month or two", the assistant doesn't save that as free text; it writes each part to its own field. The next day you can build a smart list for "Kadıköy, buyer, budget 12–16 million, within 3 months". See CRM updates after a call.
Heads up
Don't rename, change the type, options or folder of, or delete the fields the assistant writes to. For example, if you change the "Enquiry type" option "Buyer" to "Purchase", the assistant may fail to write the value and automations may send the client to the wrong pipeline. If a change is needed, tell your consultant first. The fields in the Consent folder are the legal basis for outbound calls; leave them alone in particular.
Adding your own field
Adding your own fields without touching the assistant's is fine. Say you want to record how a buyer will pay:
- Enter a short, clear Field Name (e.g. "Payment method"). Make sure the Object is right.
- Choose the Folder where the field will appear. You can put a new field in the assistant's folder too; what matters is not changing the existing fields.
- For a field with options, add them under Options: Cash / Mortgage / Not sure.
- The Key is generated automatically, e.g.
contact.payment_method. Use it in message templates as{{contact.payment_method}}. - Click Save.
Note
The assistant doesn't fill in a new field on its own. If you want it to ask about this on calls too, write to your consultant; our team updates the question flow and field mapping. See Qualification.
Field types
| Type | Estate agency example |
|---|---|
| Single Line | Area, listing reference |
| Multi Line | Agent's note, special requests |
| Number | Square metres, floor |
| Monetary | Budget, rent, deposit |
| Single Option | Enquiry type, bedrooms, timing |
| Multiple Options | Must-haves: parking, lift, gated site |
| Radio Select | İYS consent: Yes / No |
| Checkbox | KVKK notice given |
| Date Picker | Completion date, tenancy end date |
| File Upload | Title deed copy, listing agreement |
Tip
For anything you want to filter on, use Single Option or Multiple Options rather than free text. "3+1", "3 + 1" and "three plus one" will break your lists.
Contact or Opportunity?
- Contact: information about the person that rarely changes, e.g. İYS consent, preferred language.
- Opportunity: information about a specific purchase, sale or let, e.g. offer amount, deposit date. The same client can have both a seller and a buyer opportunity.
A field's object and type can't be changed later. Deleting a field deletes its data on every record.
