Audit logs

See who created, changed or deleted which client, opportunity or setting, and when; use it for KVKK accountability.

2 min read

A client record was deleted, an opportunity changed owner, or an agent's permissions were widened. Who did it? Audit Logs keep the panel's important actions with the user, date and before/after values. Use them to settle day-to-day disputes ("that client was mine") and for accountability under KVKK, Turkey's data protection law.

Before you start

  • Only users with the Admin role can see audit logs.
  • Logs are read-only; they can't be edited or deleted by users.
  • How far back logs go can depend on your plan. When you find an important event, note the details or keep a screenshot.

Activity details panel: before and after values for each field.

The details panel shows who did it, the date and time, and each changed field's before and after value. In the example above, Emre Yılmaz moved Ahmet Demir's Moda 3+1 opportunity from Viewing done to Offer, updated the value and took over ownership from Selin Kaya.

Common scenarios

A client record has disappeared. Filter by Module: Contact, Action: Deleted. You'll see who deleted it and when. Ask your consultant whether the record can be restored; it depends on when it was deleted.

An opportunity moved to another agent. Find it with Module: Opportunity and see who changed the Owner field. A neutral source in commission disputes.

A user's permissions changed. Track permission changes with Module: User. An unexpected increase (e.g. export permission) is a security warning sign.

A setting changed and the assistant behaves differently. If a stage name, tag or custom field was changed, find out who changed it here and pass it on to your consultant.

Using it for KVKK

As an agency processing personal data, you should be able to show who processed data and when. Audit logs help:

  • Change tracking: shows who made changes to client data.
  • Deletion requests: when a client asks for their data to be deleted, you can show it was done, with the date and user.
  • Investigation: if there's a suspicious bulk deletion or change, you quickly find which user it came from.

Important

For audit logs to mean anything, every staff member needs their own user. If several people share an "office@" account, the logs can't show who did what. Give everyone their own user (My staff).

Note

Audit logs alone don't make you KVKK compliant; obligations such as the privacy notice, explicit consent and retention periods remain yours. See Data privacy and KVKK.
