Connecting Facebook and Instagram
Connect your Facebook Page and Instagram account so Messenger, Instagram DMs and lead forms flow into the panel.

When you connect your Facebook Page and the Instagram account linked to it, Messenger messages and Instagram DMs land in the Conversations inbox, and people from your ad forms land in Contacts. One connection opens three channels, and the assistant can reply in writing on all of them.
We usually make this connection with you during setup; the steps below explain what happens in that session and how to reconnect if the connection drops.
Before you start
- Full control of the Facebook Page: the person connecting needs Full control of the agency's Page. Partial access connects with missing permissions.
- Meta Business portfolio: the Page is in the agency's Meta Business portfolio and you're an admin there.
- Instagram professional account: your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account linked to your Facebook Page.
- Admin role in the panel: you need a user with access to Settings.
Connecting step by step
- Click Settings at the bottom of the left menu and open Integrations.
- Click Connect on the Facebook & Instagram card. A Facebook window opens (allow pop-ups if your browser blocks them).
- Log in with Facebook or click Continue as …. If the wrong account appears, log out of it first.
- Choose the Pages and Instagram accounts to share: tick your agency Page and the Instagram account linked to it.
- On the permissions screen, leave every permission on and confirm with Save. If access to messages, leads or Page details is off, that feature won't work.
- Back in the panel, choose the Facebook Page to connect. If the Instagram account is linked to that Page, it comes along.
- Confirm with Connect. The card shows a Connected badge.
Note
In the Meta window the app may appear under the name of the platform's underlying app rather than "Squaremeters". That's normal; if in doubt, ask your consultant.
Heads up
If you have separate Pages for developments (e.g. "Atlas Emlak Ataşehir Projesi"), talk to your consultant before connecting them all. We'll plan together which Page's messages and forms go to which pipeline and agent.
What changes once connected?
- Messenger messages and Instagram DMs appear in the inbox with their channel icon; your reply goes back on the same channel. See Replying and channels.
- When someone writes for the first time, a record opens in Contacts.
- Lead forms bring in submissions made after the connection as contacts: Facebook and Instagram lead forms.
- With Conversation AI on, the assistant replies to these messages in suggestion or automatic mode: Channels and modes.
- Ad results appear in the Facebook Ads report.
Example: James Carter sees the video of the 3-bed in Moda on Instagram and writes "Is it still available?". The message lands in the inbox; the assistant replies in English, asks which times suit him for a viewing and hands the conversation to Selin Kaya.
Reconnecting and disconnecting
Facebook connections expire from time to time: when the person who connected changes their password, loses their Page role, or Meta ends the session for security reasons. The card shows a warning and messages stop arriving.
- Open Settings → Integrations.
- On the Facebook & Instagram card, choose the reconnect option (Reconnect or Manage).
- Repeat steps 3–7 above, choosing the same Page.
To remove the connection, use Disconnect on the card; existing conversations and contacts stay in the panel. If unsure, message your consultant first — lead forms and automations depend on this connection.
Common issues
My Page isn't listed. You didn't select it in step 4, or you don't have full control of the Page.
Facebook messages arrive but Instagram doesn't. The Instagram account isn't linked to the Page, or Allow access to messages is off in Instagram. See Instagram messaging.
The pop-up doesn't open. Turn off your browser's pop-up blocker for this site.
