Tag contacts by enquiry type, priority and call outcome, and get to know the standard tags the assistant adds.

Tags are short keywords on contact records: buyer, seller, hot-lead and so on. Used well, they let you slice your customer base in seconds: "hot buyers looking for a 3+1 in Kadıköy who gave marketing consent".
In Squaremeters the assistant adds most tags. After a call it writes the caller's enquiry type, priority and call outcome as tags, and automations and lists run off them. So always check with your consultant before renaming a tag.
Standard tags
| Tag | Meaning |
|---|---|
buyer, seller, tenant, landlord | Enquiry type. |
hot-lead | Ready, clear budget, needs a call back now. The agent gets a notification and a task. |
international-buyer | Buyer from abroad or not Turkish-speaking; routed to an English-speaking agent. |
transferred | The assistant live-transferred the call to an agent. |
no-answer | The call wasn't answered; a follow-up message scenario starts. |
do-not-call | The customer doesn't want calls; they're removed from campaigns and DND should be on. |
Heads up
Tags such as hot-lead, no-answer and do-not-call trigger automations. Renaming or deleting one may stop the related follow-up messages. See Follow-up by call outcome.
Tagging a contact
- On the contact detail page (or the contact panel in Conversations), click + in the Tags field.
- Type the first letters and pick an existing tag from the list. If it's not there, create one with Create tag.
Remove a tag with the × on it. To tag many contacts at once see Bulk actions; to tag while importing see Importing contacts.
Tip
Pick from the list before creating a new tag. buyer, Buyer and buyers are three different tags and split your reports.
Rules for your own tags
Alongside the standard tags you can use office-specific ones: an expo, a campaign, a development name.
- Always lowercase, no special characters, with hyphens:
property-expo-2026,project-atasehir. - Track deal progress (viewing done, offer made) with pipeline stages, not tags; tags are for lasting attributes. See Stages and status.
- Put budget, area and rooms in the Property enquiry fields, not in tags; they're easier to filter and report on.
- Review the tag list monthly and remove unused tags.
Filtering by tag
- On Contacts, use More Filters → Tag to list contacts with a tag and save it as a smart list.
- In Conversations, use the Tag filter to see only those customers' messages. See Filters and views.
Example: for Emre, your English-speaking agent, set up a smart list of international-buyer contacts and a conversation view with the same filter; Emre starts the day seeing only his own customers.
Managing tags centrally
The full tag list, renaming and deleting live under Settings → Tags. Deleting a tag removes it from every contact. Details: Tags management.
